Who is Hillel for Utah?

Hillel for Utah, the state's only Jewish campus organization, seeks to inspire students to make a positive connection to Israel and Jewish life, learning, and values. Grounded in Jewish values, we foster a vibrant, open community with the responsibility to enhance the world and shape the Jewish future.

Every year, approximately 275 Jewish students are enrolled in Utah's colleges and universities. Last year, more than 600 students of all backgrounds engaged with Hillel and Birthright Israel. Our signature programs include: Ask Big Questions Shabbat Dinners, Outdoor Jewish experiences, Utah's only sukkah on a college campus, Bagel Mondays at Westminster College and bagel tUesdays at the University of Utah. Our Snow & Desert Shabbaton is always a wonderful weekend of Israeli food, culture, and snow activities. We present a Shabbat 2/4 experience every second and fourth week when classes are in session as well as a student-led Passover Seder. Students are welcomed for services and High Holidays at local synagogues.
